New Bars in Leeds - Slate and Ice Bar

Leeds are becoming a really exciting place with new bars and restaurants popping up all over town.

This summer if you're looking for a new beer garden I couldn't recommend Slate bar highly enough and if you simply need to cool down, then you should most definitely visit the pop up ice bar in Bierkeller.

Slate

Slate has opened where Lounge bar and Grill used to be. It's a pool bar (but not a sports bar!) with a great atmosphere and an even better beer garden. A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch party and I must say I will definitely be coming back.

There's gorgeous exposed brickwork along the walls which I absolutely adore!

On the night they were serving pizzas and even though I couldn't have any due to my gluten intolerance the chefs have assured me that all pizzas and sandwiches on their menu are also available gluten free! That was like music to my ears and I can't wait to go back and sample their delicious pizzas.

As you can see the beer garden is absolutely huge for a city centre bar, which got Gabby from whatshebuys very excited!
The best thing about the launch party was probably the magician ( yes there really was a magician there!)

He absolutely blew our minds and was probably the highlight of our night. You can find Oliver on his website www.interactivemagician.co.uk

Ice Bar

The Leeds pop up Coors Light Ice bar is running for 12 weeks from 12th of June at Bierkeller.

I've never been to an ice bar, but have always wanted to visit so I heard that there's one right here in Leeds I just had to go!

It's £5 per per person and the price includes a 25 minute session inside the ice bar and a free drink.

There's some awesome ice sculptures as well as some miniature ice curling - which is great fun by the way!

I really enjoyed my visit to the ice bar but because it was so hot outside so I turned in a summer dress and then my legs were way too cold. A piece of advice for your visit - wear trousers!

I think these two new bars are definitely worth a visit this summer, but hurry the Ice bar isn't going to be around forever.

Until next time,
