Making The Most Of Your 20's - I Quit My Job And Left The Country

Austin Tx blogger fashion

The last month has been the craziest of my whole life.

Last week I turned 25 whilst watching the Northern Lights in Iceland with my love and some of my favourite friends, two days later I was boarding a plane to Austin Texas.

Fashion With A Story: Brexit Broke My heart

Winter fashion girl in long grey coat and jeans

The fashion photo shoot in this blog post happened quite a few weeks ago, and even though I really love the photos (thanks to my editing skills and Lucinda’s great camera skills) I didn’t want to post just an outfit post. The fashion posts I love the most are the ones that tell some kind of a story and I felt like the story of a sunny and freezing afternoon with my girls and how much I love my new boots and jumper just wasn’t going to cut it this time. I knew I wanted to say something meaningful, something that might make you pause and think. If even just for a moment.

Key Autumn Wardrobe Stables: Bold Statement Dress

Leeds fashion blogger
I'm a summer girl at heart but it's hard to deny that Autumn is a gorgeous colourful season and there's something so magical about watching all the leaves turn two different shades of the sun. The only problem with autumn is that it doesn't last long enough. Wouldn't it be fabulous if we could have less of winter and more of chilly, colourful autumn? I also really love autumn fashion so me and and the gorgeous Lucinda decided to team up for a very colourful shoot.

La Redoute Summer Party

Last year I fell in love with a new fashion fashion apparel - La Redoute and I have to say that the love affair is still going strong. They have such an awesome range of clothes, for pretty much every occasion! It's fair to say that when an email landed in my inbox with an invitation to La Redoute exclusive summer party at a secret location I was very excited and intrigued.

Looks | California Stylin' Part 2

If you follow me on twitter or instagram then you will have noticed my holiday spam photos. I have recently came back from a road trip around California, Arizona and Nevada. I will be blogging and vlogging about my whole trip very soon once I can find some spare time.
In the mean time I thought I would share with you some of my favourite outfits I wore on the holiday. The bag was the perfect size, big enough to fit all the necessities and small enough to not be a nuisance and the shirt, well I am just in love with it!

Looks | California Stylin' Part 1

If you follow me on twitter or instagram then you will know that I've just come back from a road trip around California, Arizona and Nevada (even passed through Utah!). The weather was incredible, we had sun every day and it was over 20 degrees Celsius in most places that we visited.

Luckily I came prepared as I spruced up my wardrobe with some new pieces prior to the holiday and thought I would share with my three favourite outfits that I wore whilst I was over there.

Looks | Fun Shoot In The Freezing Cold

I really enjoy publishing fashion posts and that's something I'd like to get more into in the future. However, I also think that often fashion blog posts can be a little static SO me and the beautiful Gabby from whatshebuys decided to team up and have some fun!

La Redoute Fashion Bloggers Christmas Party

Recently I've had a fantastic day with not one but two really fun events. I attended a Christmas Meet organised by the lovely Rhianna from Robowecop and then La Redoute's Blogger Christmas party which was my favourite blogger event of 2015! La Redoute held the event at Lamberts Yard in Leeds and all of us Yorkshire bloggers were over the moon.

Bolongaro Trevor Leeds - SUNNYDEI Catwalk Debut

Couple of weeks ago I received what I thought was a very random request. I was asked if I would like to do some catwalk modelling at Bolongaro Trevor Halloween party in Leeds, of course I said yes! Immediately after I started worrying about falling on my face as the last time I did catwalk modelling was in Primary school and I was dressed as a strawberry ( I made a good strawberry!).

Hotter Shoes Styled With Outfit Of The Day

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to a Hotter shoes store for an intimate blogger evening.
The Leeds city centre store has only been open for a few weeks so I was very keen to see what Hotter shoes were like.
I tried on about 6 different pairs over and over but in the end I decided on these gorgeous Briony boots

Feeling The Summer - Flowery Kimono

Summer is almost over and in all honesty, it feels to me like it didn't even happen. We've not had that many warm sunny days and the majority of the ones we did have I spent at work, in an office.

Since I have finished university two years ago time seems to absolutely fly and every sunny weekend feels precious. Before we know it, we'll be walking around in woolly jumpers and scarfs again.

I was so happy when we finally got some heat and sunshine over the weekend. I had a friend visiting and we spent the day exploring Roundhay Park  and soaking up the sun. I decided to embrace perhaps this last strech of summer weather with one of my favourite outfits. My flowery kimono which I've found on ebay!

Dressing For The English Summer

Unfortunately, we've really not had much luck with the weather in England so far. Today marks the official beginning of the summer season and I still haven't been outside without a coat (!!!).

Wearing my floaty floral summer dresses is starting to feel like a distant dream.

No matter the weather dressing well is still important so check out my choice of attire on a grey day.

A Photoshoot and Interview With Miss Yorkshire 2015

I don't know about you, but I've always wondered what it's like to enter a beauty pageant.  When I was younger, I really loved Miss Congeniality so when I got the opportunity to do a photoshoot with Miss Yorkshire 2015 I couldn't say no, mainly because I wanted to ask her lots of questions!

Below are some of the photos from the photoshoot and Hannah answers what it's Really like to be a Beauty Queen.

Blazer - H&M, Dress - Jack Wills , Shoes - Debenhams, Glasses - Rayban

This weekend I finally decided to let go of my beloved winter coat and dress a little more summery.
I was feeling colourful so I opted in for a very bright outfit!

I've recently purchased this gorgeous striped dress from the Jack Wills outlet store in Halifax. The original price was £49.50 but I got it for £15.00! It's really comfortable and therefore it was the perfect option for a day of shopping.

I'm absolutely in love with these shoes from Debenhams too. They're great statement shoes, but still seem to go with almost everything I own!

It's been so nice to finally see some sunshine here in Yorkshire, I was starting to feel like Winter was never going to end. Have you recently bought any nice spring clothes?

Hebden Bridge - A love story

A little while ago me and the boy had a day out in the gorgeous Hebden Bridge.

I've been there a couple of times before with work and completely fell in love. I could spend hours upon hours in most of the cute boutique shops there.

We wandered around the canal and the town center before making our way to the Organic House for some scrumptious lunch.

They have a great selection of freshly squeezed juices and in the colder weather they do a special hot juice called the 'Flut Shot'. I was feeling a little under the weather and this juice definitely picked me up! It consisted of apples, oranges, ginger and some other magical ingredients.

The boy tried out one of their available craft beers. Beer is always his drink of choice.

I ordered a delicious vegetarian burrito but had it on nachos instead of the wrap. All of the ingredients were so fresh that each bite provided with an explosion of flavours in my mouth.

After our lunch we walked over to the Heart Gallery. I could have stayed in there forever. There were unique jewellery pieces, art prints, creative kitchen utensils and more.

I loved that little corner display, I had Oli take a photo of my outfit.

I'm wearing:

Shirt from H&M
Jumper from Primark
Boots from New Look
Necklace from Accesorize
Vintage skirt

I also had the pleasure of meeting Heather Wilson, a very talented and skilled hat and textiles maker who has a little work space inside the gallery.

She has a display of miniature zodiac inspired costumes which she created for her degree show; I thought they were amazing. Heather explained to me that the materials they were made from represented something characteristic of each zodiac sign.

As we were wandering around we also came across the Spirals Fair trade shop. There were lots of organic, locally made beauty products to choose from as well as some stunning homeware.

Another shop which we just had to go into because the window display was so stunning, was the Radiance lighting boutique. If we are ever looking for new lights we will definitely be making our way back there!

So I've saved the best for last. The Willow Garden, the most beautiful florist shop I have ever seen. It felt like I walked into a fairytale. I wanted to buy everything and anything. We must have spent about 45 minutes in there having a look at all the plants and ornaments they had on display.

We picked three different types of flowers to buy, but after a quick search on the internet we quickly learned that unfortunately all of them were poisonous to cats (sad face). We didn't leave empty handed though, we bought this stunning vintage cage with a tea light holder. It looks so gorgeous out on our terrace, we both agree that it's the best purchase we have made in a long time!

If you get a chance you must take a trip down to Hebden Bridge, I'm sure you won't be dissapointed! We will definitely be taking another trip there in the summer.

Until next time,
