Looks | Fun Shoot In The Freezing Cold

I really enjoy publishing fashion posts and that's something I'd like to get more into in the future. However, I also think that often fashion blog posts can be a little static SO me and the beautiful Gabby from whatshebuys decided to team up and have some fun!

We were both going to the Murder On The Post Floor event later in the afternoon, which required us to be 'dressed to impress' so we thought we might as well have some fun in the freezing sun before hand.
Honestly, I think it was the coldest day of the year so far. Don't be fooled by the extremely bright sun in the background there was no warmth whatsoever radiating from it. We actually physically couldn't feel our limbs by the end of the shoot, but hey, no pain, no gain right?!
We both love colour and patterns, especially in winter when everything is pretty dull, grey and lacking colour!

First up I couldn't mention my new coat which I'm currently a little bit in love with. If you've read my Winter Fashion Essentials post then you'll now that a good warm coat is an absolute must for me, because I seem to always be colder than fellow humans. I've been looking for a coat to add to my collection since last winter and I finally found one and it was a bargain too!

Now here comes the fun part when I took my coat off and started to lose the blood supply to my limbs.

This outfit which I'm a little bit in love with is a genius creation of the lovely Gabby. The top is actually a shift dress! I was complaining how it kept riding up my thighs and Gabby suggested it that I tried wearing it under my skirt and it worked! I felt so much more comfortable and because the material of the dress is very thin and the skirt is quite thick it worked perfectly.

It was such a fun afternoon and I didn't even have to bribe Gabby with food like I have to do when the boy takes my photos!
Don't forget to check out Gabby's wonderful blog for her full outfit details, beautiful photos and lots of fashion inspiration!
