Last weekend was full of sunshine and adventures.
Those kind of weekends are my favourite .
Recently I have been wishing so hard for sunshine so I could go out exploring, without getting wet and muddy. Luckily we've had lots of sunshine for the last couple of weeks.
Me and my friend Meagan needed a long overdue catch up and decided to have in the stunning Roundhay Park in Leeds.
It was actually my first time there and I must say I completely fell in love with the place. It's really big and you could easily spend hours there, especially if you bring a picnic! I imagine that is exactly what we will do in the summer.
The lake was frozen over and looked so cool.
My outfit of choice consisted of my beloved M&S coat,
Ankle boots from New Look,
Heart Print shirt from H&M, Tartan Scarf from Primark,
Jeans from Karen Miller,
Backpack from Primark
Hand knitted multicolor pastel cardigan which was a charity shop to find.
I really enjoyed our walk around the park, it was nice to breathe in the frosty air of winter whilst soaking up the sunshine.
We had a really fun, sentimental day. We talked about our worries, hopes and dreams all while having a good giggle. It felt really refreshing to have a change of scenery and be away from the buzz of the city centre . I know that if I had a car I would be going there a lot more.
If you're a bit of a nature child at heart, live in Leeds and haven't been to Roundhay Park I would highly recommend that you pay it a visit.
Not only is it absolutely stunning, there's also quite a lot of wildlife there. During our visit we spotted at least 6 squirrels, ducks, swans and some other birds which I had never even seen before.
Again, if you like animals very close to Roundhay Park there is Tropical World - which like a little mini zoo for tropical animals. I think my favourite bit of tropical world is probably the Butterfly garden and the little pond with turtles, but there's also meerkats , tropical birds, snakes, bats and more.
If you and your boyfriend/girlfriend or your friends want something a little different to do this Valentines Day, you could have a great (and cheap) day out by visiting Roundhay Park and Tropical world .
Till next time,
Dei x
These photographs are beautiful. I will never become sick of trees in England. Can I just ask how you take care of your hair? I had a quick scan through your previous posts but couldn't find anything in particular (won't lie, it was a VERY quick scan). It just looks so... nice. Just nice. My kind of hair.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I will neve become sick of trees is anywhere:) haha that is such a random nic question!! No one ever compliments me on my hair! I stopped dying it about two years ago, I don't straighten it. Use Claudia Shiffers line of Schwarzkop (or however you spell it) shampoo for fine hair garnier sleep perfector conditioner and perfector oil. I think I was just having a good hair day really though! X
ReplyDeleteI love your jacket and scarf! The photos of the trees are ever so gorgeous. I love the look of your boots - wish you included a close up! x
