Sunny Saturday By The River

After days of horrendous wind and rain last weekend we finally got blessed with some sunshine.
To take advantage of the sunshine and to keep up with my list of 10 Things To Do To Stay Happy This Winter me and the boy decided to go for a walk by the river.

We packed some snacks and went exploring.
We haven't lived in Leeds city centre for very long, so that area of town is still quite new to us.
It meant that we didn't really know where we were going, but it's okay, it made it that little more exciting that way!

I thought I would share with you my outfit of choice, so I bullied the boy into taking some photos of me.
I wanted to look and feel pretty, but also be very comfortable and warm.
I settled on:

My M&S red coat,
Heart print shirt from H&M (which I'm in love with and have the same one in the floral pattern too!)
 Pink Jumper from Primark
Vintage Polka Dot Skirt and Warm Gloves

As you might be able to tell from this photo the skirt is great for twirling!

The only picture i managed to get of the boy, at least his hair looks good!

After our walk we went to the Leeds Kirkgate Market, bought lots of fresh food, made a curry and  continued our Harry Potter Marathon week.

Can you believe it's my first time properly watching Harry Potter?! I've never read the books either, but I am completely in love with the films now and quite sad that we only have one left to watch!

What did you get up to this weekend?

Till next time,

Dei x

  1. Lovely, lovely post :) I loved the photos, I think it's really exciting when you are exploring an area that you are still unfamiliar with. Your outfit is SO cute, and the fact that you went to the market and bought lots of fresh foods makes me jealous. I cannot believe that this is the first proper time you are watching Harry Potter, but better late than never. If the movies impressed you, then you really need to read the books.. they will BLOW YOUR MIND! :)

  2. Thank you so much Miriam for the kind words and for taking the time to read my blog! :) I love exploring unknown areas too and even though I've lived in Leeds for 4 years there's still so much I haven't seen! Ah I can't believe either, going to watch the last film tonight and then I think I NEED to read the books finally haha

  3. Lovely photographs. This looks like a perfect way to blow the cobwebs away when the sun is shining.

I love Harry Potter marathons - but I must insist you start reading the books immediately!
